Re: Where's my aeroplane???

The plot thickens!!

CBFS Fleet section of FSA shows my flight from EGCC to LFBT on 2nd July, the next entry is an "AIRCRAFT TRANSFER" back to EGCC with today's date!

What's going on?

Re: Where's my aeroplane???

Until ten minutes ago CBFSIM was quite clearly showing the aircraft at LFBT where I flew it on Tuesday, the statistics section still shows that flight, screenshot won't upload correctly, but the "Fleet status" has suddenly put the aircraft back at Manchester. Not only that but FSA still shows me at ...

Where's my aeroplane???

I flew Argonaut GALHG from Manchester to Tarbes on Tuesday.

Today I go to book the flight back to UK and FSA says there are no aircraft at Tarbes (LFBT)

CBFS clearly shows that the aircraft is definitely there and a status of 99% so it's not gone in for maintenance.

Why won't FSA let me book it?

Re: Aircraft Status.

having the flaps and gear down when your flying to fast could be added
That would need an enormous database of limit speeds for every aircraft

Re: Aircraft Status.

It is very difficult to achieve a touchdown rate below 500 FpM in a Concorde, which typically has a final approach (threshold) speed of at least 160 KIAS which equates to 800 FpM down a typical 3 degree glideslope and there was very little flare involved for landing, but it did have rather strong un...

Re: Aircraft Status.

I believe commercial jets are tested to 900 FpM touchdown, technically 15 feet per second they want to see without significant airframe damage, so that in service anything below 600FpM is insignificant.

Re: Client 2.2.4 Released!

AVG didn't want to let me install 2.2.4, sent it off for "questioning"

Eventually it released the file back to me but just wondering what might have caused this?

Re: Landing rate

Look at your VSI as you approach the runway.

Keep it below 500 for a good touchdown :)

Re: Range with Maximum Payload

"Range" is dependant on so many variables, primarily wind.

Also varies with temperature and pressure so I fear all the work involved in this could be futile!

What happened to my aeroplane

GALHX was well over 90% when I set off from Mumbai. It took over 5 hours to upload the flight report due to the website being down but (despite the Black Box reporting a 100% perfect flight) it is now sat at Colombo (Banderanaike) showing a status of 5% (yes FIVE percent)!!! What has caused this as ...

Diverted landing

The last two times I have had to divert a long flight for extra fuel all my passengers seem to have jumped out somewhere along the route.

I am sure I left Goose with some 20 or so fare paying passengers plus cargo, but diverting to Godthaab (Nuuk) I have neither!!

Re: Ideas: FSAirliners in the world of cryptocurrencies

In order to "pay" pilots and/or airlines in anything other than virtual payments the money has to come from somewhere.
We do not fly real fare paying passengers so where is the actual income?

It simply wouldn't work, money cannot be created from nothing.

Re: Landing Rate Detection in FSA

I completely agree that is the correct way to land a Concorde, but if one does it wrong, as in my example, the touchdown was not a hard landing, but in reality the nose wheel would be badly damaged!
