Re: Penalties Described
250kn Speed limit Below 10000ft 5% - Aircraft are required to stay below 250 kn when below 10,000 ft. But if the aircraft you are flying is marked in the database as a 'Heavy Jet' you can fly up to 300 kn for the first 30 minutes of your flight. Also see 'High Speed Disabled' below.
A...

Re: Client 2.4 ideas

Great that the client displays current fuel weight while flying, any chance that it can display current gross weight as well, a faster way of checking that one is below MLW for the approach?

Re: Overspeed taxi?

I don't believe it is a big enough problem to require a revised client version, and some flight models need quite a lot more than 8% to get moving at high gross weights.

Re: Overspeed taxi?

The only time I have ever got that penalty on take off run is if I have had to pause the sim while on the runway half way through the take off roll. That is guaranteed to give you a penalty. Without pausing during take of roll I have never seen this, and I fly Concorde at max weight which takes a LO...

What happened to my flight?

FSA shows me at LIMC, but I flew LIMC to EGCC last night then bought a ticket to KJFK ready to fly to Jamaica this morning.

Why am I still at LIMC with no flight recorded back to Manchester?

I am going to have to fly it again now, that's about four hours wasted :x

Re: Cargo/Package payment ideas

Another thought on packages.

I am at Glasgow EGPF, flying to JFK.

If there are packages at Edinburgh (EGPH about 30 NM from Glasgow) needing to go to JFK how about I get the option of them being ground transported to Glasgow so I can fly them to JFK?

Re: Take off weight problem

Yes, the Rick Piper Viscount 800.

As you say those figures have the exact 430 Kg discrepancy.

Re: Take off weight problem

I have tried all of the above but I am still always 430 Kg overweight. Even tried loading 430 Kg too much fuel, then going back and reducing it by 430 Kg but to no effect. The only way to get the client to start the flight is by clicking the change button against the passenger number. Any ideas, Joe??

Re: Take off weight problem

Anybody got any ideas on this one? It doesn't seem to matter how much fuel I load, it is still over weight by 430 Kg, current flight ZFW 24924, fuel 1600, TOW 26524, MTOW 32886, OVER BY 430 KG! It is seriously limiting how many passengers I can carry hence profit margin. (The system won't let me loa...

Re: Cannot Release Packages

Just flew a shed load of packages from Glasgow to Manchester, planning to deliver them to Liverpool after landing.

Unfortunately FSA thinks that they are loaded on Joe Cusick's aeroplane so I can't deliver them

Re: Client 3.4 ideas

Figures in the (fairly extensive) flight manual with the aircraft model show similar figures so I guess they are about right.

Average fuel flow seems to be in the region of 1,000 Kg per hour so my impression is that the reserve of 2,000 Kg (two hours of cruise time!) is probably a bit excessive.

Re: Client 3.4 ideas

I do all that, but in some aircraft, with the client loading you to max ZFW, the calculations leave little margin for error. Example, Vickers Viscount (VC8) MacZFW 24494 Kg Max Landing Wt 26535Kg so there is a margin of 2,041 Kg. HOWEVER, the flight manual states that one should carry an extra 2,000...

Re: Client 3.4 ideas

I think this might be better as a website option after booking the flight to limit payload and reduce the generic cargo and passengers there. We would need the entire loading schedule on the website in order to determine ZFW, Payload, TOW and try to predict Landing Wt. Landing weight is the tricky ...
