Re: ZFW from a member
I think the problem is pilots like punching in the data in the FMCs and if its always the same numbers it gets dull for them. There is a very simple answer to that one, fly older aircraft that don't have an FMC, make your pilots actually THINK about how to fly rather than - rotate, gear up, LNAV VN...

Re: Client detects crashes
It is, of course, possible to take this too far.
If the VS at touchdown exceeds 10,000 FpM one could say the pilot is dead and remove them from the airline, just saying!

Re: FSX not responding
Always start FSX with the default "trike".
Once it has started and the RPM on the trike settled, then load another aircraft, or another flight.

Re: Privacy conserns
"Front page" is back to normal, type ratings is still awry, maybe it will sort itself in a day or two.

Re: Privacy conserns
The first name and last initial has broken many features on "Classic British" website, particularly type ratings page.
Many other areas of the same site still show full names.
I don't see what the security issue is, seems to me that it has "fixed" something that wasn't broken in the first place.

Screen location of FSA client
Every time I start FSA the client window appears int he same location, which is not where I want it on my screen so I have to move it to where I want it. Can it not be made to remember where it was when last used/shut down, and restart there? (I run four monitors and it is on the wrong monitor. All ...

Re: Crash detection
I would definitely go with that one.this could even include landing with the gear up, or down on water, on water if not an amphibian.

Re: Booking a Flight
Rather than quote the entire reply above can I just say "WELL SAID CAT!" Pilots must take some responsibility. If you don't want a pilot to try to fly a B747 from EGCB to EGPR (look them up!) then don't have a route between them that allows the selection of such an aircraft and don't allow the gener...

Re: Instant Aircraft Transfers
Well if individual pilots are apparently abusing this then surely the solution is simple, remove their privilege to move aircraft.

Re: Instant Aircraft Transfers
We are talking instant transfers of aircraft here not just instant transfers of pilots aren't we. I didn't realise pilots could do that, I thought it was reserved for fleet managers; perhaps that is an easier fix, only let managers do instant aircraft transfers? Come to think of it why can pilots mo...

Couldn't restore flight
Flew Concorde from JFK to LHR yesterday, I had landed (FSA gave me a sink rate of 86 fpm, nice softy) but as I decelerated below 50 knots I got a BSOD :( :( Restarted PC, restarted weather, FSA and FSX. Loaded the FSA Autosave flight (paused it as soon as it finished loading) which was about 500 ft ...

Re: Client 2.4 ideas
Great that the client displays current fuel weight while flying, any chance that it can display current gross weight as well, a faster way of checking that one is below MLW for the approach?

Re: Overspeed taxi?
I don't believe it is a big enough problem to require a revised client version, and some flight models need quite a lot more than 8% to get moving at high gross weights.
