Re: No Economics

I had this big lengthy comment all typed up, ready to press "submit" and realized it will only attract negative comments. So having cleared it - I will simply say I think it is a bad idea and is a waste of Joe's precious time and resources. He has done so much to make FSAirlines so much better this ...

Re: Cargo System/Packages

Well that's not good. You may have to submit a support ticket detailing the issue so Joe can see the flag and get to it top priority. Have you tried transferring those packages to another aircraft at that same airport? Have you tried the Release Packages tab in the Actions bar where you select the a...

Re: Cargo System/Packages

I will be making a better video covering the new features of the package cargo system so once that posts, please delete #2 as it will be outdated. Question: I lost the link to the normal delivery process penalty system ..... I know it's 2 days / 4 days for pri/non-pri packages but there is a degradi...

Re: Cargo System/Packages

Make sure you watch my latest video You MUST go up to the VA PACKAGES link in the top right to release packages AND the aircraft cannot be booked for a flight. The problem with making an automated offload is for those (like me) who like to make a 2 or 3 stop flight and drop packages on the way. Gene...

Re: Cargo System/Packages

Hey I just found a new tab in PACKAGES / Actions tab Deliver Selected Packages Did not know that was there. Is that new? Pretty nifty, really saves a bunch of steps! Here is installment #2 on how to work the system, this one focuses on ground delivery and releasing unwanted packages. https://youtu.b...

Re: Cargo System/Packages

Joe posted: "I think it probably would be useful. I see there are a couple areas of the system that need some improvement, namely unloading and delivering packages. I am thinking the VA Packages page that shows all loaded planes needs an options for always unloaded, even if the packages has been mov...

Re: Cargo System/Packages

Under your airline on the left side, click PACKAGES. Then in the far upper corner click VA PACKAGES. This will show you the location of every package your airline has accepted, on what airplane or in what Airport Center they are located and their status. If they have gone red you will take a financi...

Re: Cargo System/Packages

Question to all: Should I do another video tutorial on how the ground delivery system works? It is a big tricky as you have to get to packages/va packages and select deliver / submit BEFORE that airplane is booked on it's next flight. AND most do not realize if you are picking 100nm packages you are...

Re: Automated Pilots

To be honest I was one of those in the 15%, but now people are discussing it, I could see a "Manager Mode" being something attractive to bean counter game player types. Integrating with flyable routes will be the trick tho. Senior Captain Stacy may be onto something with separate route numbers for a...

Re: Fleet management

Again, as you say Joe... complicated. But take a look at how our ranks are set up. And you will see more what I am talking about. By having each pilot his/her own rank, that allows permissions for just about any way we need to go. Our First Officer and Captain ranks which are standard for new pilots...

Re: Fleet management

Because we are a smaller operator, we have the luxury of giving each pilot a unique rank once they clear orientation and minimum hours. This allows us to assign whatever we need to assign to each specific pilot. The only problem with "Fleet Ranks" is then the pilot is tied specifically to only that ...

Re: Cargo System/Packages

We have found you do not have to be stuffed full of package cargo to make a profit. In fact you can still make a profit with just passengers and generic cargo. So any little you can grab will help for sure. The biggest thing to teach, I think, is to get pilots to only take what can be delivered on t...
