Re: Out for a few days

Thanks for all you've done Joe! And "having to go back to work" means you are on the mend and not forever "retired due to medical issues" like some of us. Having your health means everything first and foremost. Don't overdo it at work, ease back in to it.

Wishing you well and happy flying!

Post by joefremont » Fri Aug 09, 2019 6:01 am Sam, Sabahassani, Stan and Harvester, I can not thank you enough for the help you have given me on testing this cargo system. I am sure we are not done, no software product is ever really done, but the help you have provided has really made big differen...

Re: Cargo System/Packages

Is there any way to limit Cargo/Package operations to 1x flight time operations? Seems a bit unfair for guys to go scooping up large amounts of package cargo in big freighters then flying them 16x speed while more realistic operators slug along at normal flight times. If it' sounds like whining, the...

Re: Cargo loads

Jucebox85 » Mon Aug 05, 2019 10:34 am Is it just me, or is there no way to change the amount of cargo loaded? There has never been a way to adjust cargo load, a sticky point with me over the years. And now with the new cargo system, don't look for anything any time soon either. How would the system...

Re: Automated Pilots

At the risk of popping your 'happy balloon' on this idea, you would have to keep the autobot pilots out of the new cargo system or they will milk it dry leaving us hard working humans looking for work.

Re: Cargo beta testing

Had a pilot make a mistake in trying to load his plane and now we have two "packages not delivered" but they are INCOME transactions and not EXPENSE transactions.

Re: Cargo beta testing

Yes the "search" box exactly .... shows way more freight than the "select packages" tab does. I just picked up two 441 lb bins for LAS, taking them to Boise to join the other LAS bound freight. Those were not visible in the "select packages" tab. PS - @sabahassani : no one is picking on anybody ..If...

Re: Cargo beta testing

wow yeah a whole choreographed thing. Regarding the "glitch" I am in the air right now, I will take screen shots next time. Once a flight is booked if you click on "Select Packages" you will see outgoing freight. But if you go to the LEFT package tab and click it then select the departure airport an...

Re: Cargo beta testing

Question regarding "opposite direction to hub" connection flights:

Say we pick up packages at KIDA destination KDFW and fly them WEST to KBOI to connect with our 738 going from KBOI to KDFW. Does the connection flight still get paid even tho it is taking the packages further away from destination?

Re: Cargo beta testing

just picked up a glitch with package system ... if you click "select packages" after booking the flight you don't see much. If you use the LEFT side package link then select the airport you are at you will see the full list.

Re: Cargo beta testing

Fragile cargo would have a different rate Hazardous Materials would have a different rate and not able to ship with passengers So "Packages" simply refers to general air cargo that is not hazardous or fragile. Priority Packages with their two day shipment requirements may be considered mail or Amazo...

Re: Cargo beta testing

I just thought before the system gets put out there live, we should test the penalty aspect to make sure that is all working correctly. So I am going to "sit" on one 88lb package and see what happens. Picked it up July 29. Not priority, just normal 4 day air freight.

Re: Cargo beta testing

Has anyone tested the "failed delivery" penalty yet?

I have one package for Twin Falls I am going to sit on and see what happens when the expiration date to deliver hits.
