Sadly it seems to be dying a slow death, with no development and very little news. I didn't renew my Platinum membership last time, it doesn't seem to represent value for money any longer.

Re: Match your favorite real airline seat configuration
I'd rather use the actual airline site for seating layouts, Seatguru isn't always that accurate or up to date.

Re: Airline Forums
Alan, since Chris (Capflyer) stood down from his admin position, support requests are taking a very long time to be resolved. He hasn't been replaced yet, and people are starting to realise how much effort he put into this site. You'll just have to wait for one of the developers to make a rare appea...

Re: How Many Active VA's
Alan, I have no idea of the overall situation but to give you an example from our region, there are 12 VAs listed with bases in Brazil, of which just 2 are actually active, 3 are provisional without a Platinum member, and 7 are listed as inactive, at least one of them since 2010. Going on that, I wo...

Re: Low Income Cargo Fleet
IIRC cargo income starts to drop off at distances above 1000 miles so it's best to break up your routes into smaller sectors if possible. When we had a pure cargo division we ran sectors of around 5-800 miles with MD11s, A310s and 767Fs quite successfully. You can make profits on longer flights, but...

Re: FSA leaderless?
Mat, you're right, if we had a better idea of what was needed it would be easier to commit to helping, but that's a communication problem again. Matthew, I work very closely with system designers so I'm well aware that it is frequently (OK, always  ) more complicated than first planned. But how...

Re: FSA leaderless?
Inana, your enthusiasm is great, but you seem to be new around here. Have a look how long Jörg (2008) and I (2007) have been around Flynet/FSAirlines. This problem isn't something that happened overnight, it's been a long running issue. There have been complaints about lack of communication for as l...

Re: FSA leaderless?
Actually Jörg you give part of the reason in your post to Chris.........stagnation  There is so little activity here that no-one bothers to check every day. I have disagreed with Chris several times in the past, but he has my full support in this matter. His resignation is a huge loss for FSAi...

Re: To CAPFlyer
Chris I would also like to express my appreciation and admiration for all that you have done for for Flynet/FSAirlines over the years, on many occasions you were the only "face" of the "management" that made an appearance, and you have generally maintained a level of patience that I certainly don't ...

Top 5 pilots award
You really have to admire the dedication of the top 5  A week has 168 hours and the top pilots are flying for 140 of them........ I work around 50 hours, spend another 15 in traffic, sleep for roughly another 50, and another 12 going out a couple of times a week, so even flying for every other...
