Where has I been?

Getting an ATC license.

Still learning, but damn if I don't know more about aviation now.

Ah, this old chestnut. "I got dinged, we should change the rule" Oh well, as Chris has said, and as I will add: ATC very rarely (ie: Effectively Never) clears aircraft to go beyond 250kts under 10k ft. If they ever do, heads roll, since it generally means the controller screwed up somethi...

No names being named, but I just got notified about a huge cheater. On suspicion of one tagged flight (by a user) I reviewed the airline. Turns out that they had over 2.6 billion in ill gotten funds...

Needless to say, that isn't the case anymore.

Hopefully these people will learn.

Guys, the rule (informal) is that if it doesn't exist in real life, you won't see it here. That's why we forced a wait for the A380, and why you don't see the 787 on the list either. Also, as a sidenote, a lot of our widebodies are underpriced, so expect those prices to jump soon. http://bjones4.com...

Last I heard, the 225 was dead, except for the one flying example. Since it was a one off project, I think we disallowed it, I'm not sure what the consensus was on that...

what about dynamic ticket prices.... think about it, in real world ticket prices are always changing. it all depends on fuel. u might book a flight in march for a flight in november for 80 bucks round trip, but when november comes the trip is up arround 300. so you would set the standard price, the...

It wouldn't be so bad if they had kept pricing them in USD, but they switched it over. Everyone got screwed, all so PMDG could make more cash.

50USD became 50Euros over night. That's about 15~20 bucks more for the same product. That's price gouging. Thank God for usenet.

Just saw my financial report this morning! :P

Problem has been fixed I take it? (Sigh, a small airline would have been ruined by the transactions last night ;) )

I had an idea, but again, no clue how you would implement it... Since we know the distance to be travelled, and the client gives a speed variable in the upload, you could in theory, calculate the remaining time left on the flight. Furthermore, since we know where the plane is, we can draw a curve fr...

gc.kls2.com

You can find out how long a route is there.

440knots is average for most jets

Add 15~20 minutes onto the time, and it usually gives a pretty accurate result for scheduling purposes. Actual ETA can be a bit harder to do...

If you really wanted to get into it, perhaps a bit of coding to determine on-time/delayed status... ;) But that would take much more effort to do.

Flight Monitoring

Instead of having the current Section: Booked/Current Why not make it more like an airport? Have Arrivals/Departures. Departures would list flights still on the ground (ie booked) and would show only the dep time (not both like it currently does.) The Arrivals board would show the current flight's s...

Leasing Deposits: Havn't checked them recently, but can we set them to display to the leasing airline before purchase of the lease, and also have them applied only if the conditions arn't met. That way airlines can operate the aircraft responsibly without a huge cash outlay, and only pay the extra i...
