Looks Like We Are Back In Business !

Look at the home page :- http://www.fsairlines.net/ From that page News FSAirlines - a fresh new start! Hello to all Pilots and Virtual Airline Managers, as you might have experienced in the last few months we, the FSAirlines Team, did not manage to provide the support & communication that we would ...

Re: Robert Jones...

Thanks for that Mat,

How very sad. I miss seeing his Avatar and didn't he used to have the "Damn we're Busy !", somewhere in his signature. A great FSAirlines exponent. He'll be missed.
Condolences to his family and friends . . . .

Re: More Cargo Problems

Thanks for checking this out Chris,

I'm still 117 out of 120 in reputation, so that may be it.
I'll try a larger aircraft later on (MD11) and see how this goes, the variation should be bigger so its probably easier to see where I'm going wrong.

Thanks again.

Re: More Cargo Problems

Thanks for the help.
If I use the figures of
Pax weight = 82kg
Pax Baggage = 25kg
Then I end up with a cargo weight of 3,705kg which is now well short of the FSA calculated weight of 4135kg. Strange.
Screeny sent.

Re: More Cargo Problems

Thanks Chris, I got the weight for PAX weight from Joe's post here :- http://www.fsairlines.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=86&t=5232&p=27126&hilit=pax+weight#p27126 Which indicates thats PAX+bags = 102kg and as their baggage is 25kg I took one from the other and got 77kg for each pax. Any how I'll take t...

I've not done any further flights with this aircraft model.
I'll try to do one in the next few days and report back.

Uploaded Fuel calculation incorrect

Did a flight recently, and from what I remember seeing on the FSA client, everything looked normal. However upon closer inspection after the flight the numbers for the fuel do not add up correctly :- http://pda.myzen.co.uk/genpic/fsa-fuel001.png I did depart with 91776kg of fuel (203,000lbs), I did ...

Re: BC NORTH - taking a new direction soon.

Shame to see close your doors Brian, I wish you'd stay ! I see that things have probably moved a bit slowly for you in FSA during the past 6 months, this I'm pretty sure is due to the developers being stuck with their exams, studies and the like. You should leave some aircraft behind . . . . . . you...

Re: To all airlines thinking about quiting...

I've spent some time away from fsairlines (since January) . . . . - if I pay to become a member, can I use all the planes . . . To answer your original question. You do not have to pay ANYTHING to fly on this network. You just have to join an Active VA and use all their aircraft and routes. You onl...

Re: flight time calculation

Chris, You wrote (typically adds about 25 minutes to the flight time) Without wanting to be too verbose I just used that as a "for instance", my comment would be the same if it was 35 minutes or 15 minutes. Second, I didn't say that it would be the only option or that you wouldn't be able to overrid...

Re: flight time calculation

All times on FSAirlines should be in GMT, not local. All of our statistics and the integration pack assume that you're using GMT to define your flight times. If you don't, then the integration pack and performance statistics (on time, etc) will be incorrect. Also, high on the list is a new evolutio...

Closing our doors for the last time.

Farewell to all. The time has come to hang up the flying goggles, switch off the APU and apply the Parking Brakes for the last time on FSAirlines. It has been great fun and is a nice environment in which to fly. The planning and economic model gives some sense of purpose to Flight Sim flying. Many t...
