Re: Icing in FSX
I have had induction icing on turboprops. Where if you didn't turn on the engine deicers...you would loose power. Set icing up in your custom weather. You will see very quickly what it can do to your aircraft performance. You can use a program called AFSD (google it) to monitor how much ice has been...

Re: Client not setting payload
Thanks John,
That clears up the fog in my head. Is there any plans for displaying figures in both metric and standard?

Client not setting payload
When i startup FSX, i can set my aircraft's payload to zero.
Then i start the FSAirlines Client v 1.0.4 and go through the steps to fly a booked flight.
At no point does the client set my payload. Is there something i'm doing wrong?
FSX sp2
BAC 1-11-500
flight tracker off

Re: Icing in FSX
Thanks for the reply CapFlyer, Yes, the above test was all done in 1/16th mi visibility within a solid overcast stratus layer. I was surprised that the Lear 45 was able to reach it's maximum load of ice and stil maintain level flight at FL300. Maybe with a less efficient aircraft, it would not be so...

Icing in FSX
I thought i'd share a test i performed to see how Icing behaves in FSX. I'd love to hear what other people have experienced. I use real world weather and I am always dissapointed that i never seem to accumulate Icing. I used a program called AFSD to retrieve the outside temperature and the weight of...

Re: Unexplained crashes - the accident investigation thread
Understood. Thanks for the extra info. I had long forgotten the tweak of turning the tracker off.
I'm looking forward to FSAirlines. Thanks.

Re: Unexplained crashes - the accident investigation thread
I'm sure if we started paying them, they would be able to work on it more
But i'm happy for any time you guys get to work on it. Real life comes first
Thanks for everything so far.

Re: Unexplained crashes - the accident investigation thread
1. Equipment type 2. RW time of crash 3. Were you using RW weather at the time of the crash? 4. How long was the flight scheduled for? 5. Were you using time acceleration at the time of the crash? 6. Were you using FSX or FS9? 1. BAC 111-500 2. approx. 4:10 UTC 3. RW weather from FSX 4. less than 30...

I agree flightsimer. It wasn't the beep i had a problem with. It was waking the dead with the beep. If the beep came through my soundcard i would have been able to control the volume of it. When the internal speaker beeps on my motherboard, it is so incredibly loud. So disabling it has got me flying...
