Airport Size?

Just wondered what the determination for the airport "size" category is? I recently submitted Block Island State Airport (KBID) and Plum Island Airport (2B2). Both are showing as Private/Military with zero passengers. I know that there are scheduled flights to/from KBID. It would be great to have so...

Re: Yeehaw, that was fun!!

Yeah high winds are another beast altogether. This was more of a visibility thing though. Nothing but soup until 700ft AGL. Good fun!!

Yeehaw, that was fun!!

I always fly with real world weather and have experimented with instrument approaches and IFR conditions before, but this was my first complete flight that REALLY required an instrument approach. Just landed ILS at KSEA: http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b70/judge4732/IFR_KOAK.jpg No vis of the rwy/...

Re: Icing in FSX

dose ice even make the aircraft preform differently in FSX? i dont think i have ever seen anything happen. i was flying around Alaska in an ATR the other day and the temp was bellow 0c, only thing i noticed was the lack of power in the engines, but wasn't substantial either. Someone with more exper...

Forum Skins

Are there any optional skins available for the forums?

Maybe we could get an aviation themed skin?

Re: Flight not recorded PART2!

Got my problem sorted out. Operator error  Need to hit "End Flight" twice. First time brings up comment box, second time proceeds to flight review (and submission I assume). Looks good. Does this mean that we can now land at a secondary airport (refueling, etc...) before proceeding to the final...

Re: Flight not recorded PART2!

Thanks XR219. I did click the end flight button both times.

I would love to read the instructions for the new client but can't find anywhere.

Re: Flight not recorded PART2!

FSX, new FSUIPC. Last night used FSAirlines 1.00, tonight used 1.02. Both flights seemed fine but no trace of either. Has setting parking brake at the end of a flight been removed? Tried it and waited but heard no indication. Did hear audible "dings" for takeoff and touchdown however. Hope you get t...

Hi, One thing to bear in mind is the pilots preference to flying daylight or night flights. I like to vary my flights. If an on time departure was required to avoid penalties, then I'd either have to adhere to the current flightplans which means all pilots would fly at that time, or I'd need to rep...

I think the "New features & ideas" forum should be off-limits to new members. I think it should be off-limits to people who cannot express their disapproval in a mature and respectful way if you ask me. Or people with no sense of humor or grasp of sarcasm... geeesh lighten up :D :D From Ireland too...

I was just kidding Leif. Seriously though, I think it's easy to get used to the way things are and be resistant to any change. I think Dave's idea has merit - maybe not a full implementation of it. He's obviously not suggesting giving up the actual flying aspect of it and states the routes would hav...

I think the "New features & ideas" forum should be off-limits to new members. Apparently it's painful for the Good Ole Boys to have navigate all the "inane" posts. :D :D

Finding the balance between realism and fun is always going to be tough. Between this idea and the one posted here I think FlyNET could use a little more reality. Personally I think it should be tough for "one-man" VAs to have huge fleets with routes all over the world. Anything to encourage more "t...
