joefremont.. You are correct.. but even if you watch the autopilot, you are still in charge for that plane... I mean I spend a lot of time watching the Autopilot on Cruise.. But also it keeps on my nerves 8) Funny, I do a lot of long hauls, and sitting and staring at the screen kinda makes me want ...

Would it then be possible to make a FlyNET (LITE) and one for more serious sim jockies? Hmm. I wouldn't consider the participants of CBFS lesser serious flight simmers, more the contrary, but many of your suggestions seems to be pointed at newer aircraft users. I see FlyNET as an all-round platform...

No problems in using the AP when flying VOR TO VOR...Depends on your AP. If you use FSNavigator as your "AP" you could select Auto shift radio frequency, same goes for the built in GPS...

Do you have the timezones updates from Dennis Thompson installed? maybe some bug in timeshifting zones...? There was another thread about an issue with the timezones somewhere. All updates are available from AVSIM just do a search on filename = tz*.zip that should do it.... Not much else I can think...

If it is over the same spot as well, you could have offending afcads (ie two afcads covering the same airport)......that is more often than never the reason for an instant shutdown of FS.

Thx Justin As to whether you use your toes or the handle I don't know either, but in my manual (which is NOT original) it says Parking so there you go... As for the rest of your reply, yes that is what I thought. So you have a backdoor if you have landed in the wrong airport. Given of cause that you...

Parking Brakes

Just a small question. OK, I have been given clearance, and have started my taxi towards the RWY. When reaching 5 knts /GS I get the Bong. Everything fine. Because of the heavy traffic inbound I have to hold at the RWY. Finally get the clearance to take off. I roll onto the RWY. lining up and..... S...

I'm totally behind you on this John. My preferences will always be either the ICAO or IATA code, and the airport could for that sake be anything, eg. Heavens Gate, Halvordur, or even...Chris ?? But as the whole site depends on the names instead of the codes, I totally agree that it should be the com...

I don't think a strict releasecyclus is appropriate either, it is by all means not a commercial product that has to serve 24/7 But to establish a test team OTHER than the developer himself would be a very good idea. I think it is also a matter of taking pride in ones own work. Testing a program thor...

Oh we're not worthy master.....

So this BETA period where good suggestions etc. should be taken into consideration, is overruled in this case, as the 4 of you have already decided what to do and what not....

You sure are a role model for all Administrators.......

There should be no doubt of this. Of cause the FlyNET airports DB should match the airports in FS9, if there are others in FSX, FlyNETs DB should be a merge of these two. Only when the SAME airport in FS9 and FSX should happen to have different ICAO codes action should be taken. (this has happen fro...
