Re: Maintenance times.
... Even changing an aircrafts seating configuration should require the aircraft to be hangered as this is how it is done in real life. The length of this task should vary depening on the aircraft. A config change on a 737 should take less than a 777 for example. I agree with that. I would like to ...

Re: Flightplan Question
Right now the days and times on a route are just advisory, they do not restrict the pilots. I know for me I in my VA, we created the routes to match those on old Pan American time tables, if the original flight was scheduled for Tuesday, that is what the route said, but I would not want to restrict ...

Re: KLAX improperly showing as KLAX(9L7)
Sorry for my late response as I have been having 'technical difficulties' with my normal flight/fsa devwork computer (something to do with the power supply, its a laptop and I have to send it back to dell). XP-11 helipads have been a bit of a pain and I should have been more careful before I importe...

Re: Problem to import fight plan with CSV file
Sorry my delay in answering your questions, the powers supply in my flight sim computer, which I do most of my FSA work on, gave up on me and I have to resort to other means to get work done. Like pulling out one of my retired work computers, which is a mac, which means I can't fly on it. As to the ...

Re: Packages Won't Load
I had a brain wave this morning on to what could cause this problem and made a change to prevent it. Lets see if that takes care of it.

Re: is it possible to change a flight from crash to successful
Changing it from crashed to successful is not easy, several things have already happened, like deletion of the packages on the AC. Best think to do is just delete it and try again.

Re: Range max payload
Some manufacturers have a listed MZFW which is the same as the MTOW (cessna for one) so it may be difficult. This can't be true Joe, you would never be able to take off. You could never take off if your ZFW was the MZFW true. https://cessna.txtav.com/en/piston/cessna-skyhawk#_model-specs This is th...

Good to hear, I think restarting the server is what fixed it, will continue to monitor.

Re: Packages Won't Load
Strange I have made no updates in that area for a while, did some checking and was able to reproduce it. I made a quick shot in the dark change to possibly fix something and add some messaging to help debug it, and restarted the server to make it take effect, and the problem stopped but no indicatio...

Re: Range max payload
Hi Alan, I just did a quick look at the data in the DB using your formula, it's not bad but I suspect the real world numbers are not quite so linear and for aircraft where it's impossible to get numbers it would probably a starting point. Some manufacturers have a listed MZFW which is the same as th...

I did some more reading on this, I think the problem can be described in this graph. https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Carlos-Silva-186/publication/314090333/figure/fig3/AS:469589621514242@1488970298345/Payload-Range-Diagram.png This is an example/description of a normal range chart for an aircra...

Re: How to Simulate Flight Seoul - Buenos Aires in B787-800???
Looking the article you mentioned, it was a 10,520 NM, 20.3 hour flight. But it was not an airline flight but a private flight in a private aircraft, meaning no passengers or cargo and probably customized with auxiliary fuel tanks in the cargo hold. I don't think this is something we need to replica...

Maintenance times.
Hi flyers I had a pilot complain about how long it took to get there aircraft through a C check and though I would bring it up here to see what everyone thinks about the time for aircraft maintenance. Currently an A check takes 1 day, a B check 3, a C check 7 and a D check 14. What do you think is t...
